2010 Public-Private Partnership Forum

PURPOSE
To provide an opportunity for weather and climate
enterprise stakeholders to meet with senior Federal agency officials
and Congressional staff to hear about the status of current programs,
learn about new initiatives; discuss issues of interest to the
enterprise, and identity business opportunities.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
All people, from all sectors, who are interested in the weather, water, and climate community should attend. Speakers from federal agencies and congress will provide updates and there will be special sessions on climate services, renewable energy, and achieving a nationwide network of observational networks.

ACCOMODATIONS
Attendees are responsible for their own hotel reservations. The
Doubletree Hotel at 1515 Rhode Island Drive NW (202) 232-7000 and the
Holiday Inn Central/White House (1501 Rhode Island Ave NW (202)
483-2000 are good nearby options.
REGISTRATION
There are two ways to register for the AMS 2009 Public-Private
Partnership Forum:
1) On-line Registration
2) On-site registration. The PPP Forum
registration desk at the University of California Washington Center
will be open for registration starting 1 hour prior to the start of the
Forum and will remain open throughout the Forum.
Conference Registration rates
General Conference Attendee: $300
AMS Corporate Member: $200
AMS Fellowship/Scholarship Sponsor: $200
Registration includes: your badge, a program,
admission to the
general session, 2 continental breakfasts, coffee breaks, and a Forum
lunch each day. Tickets to the Forum dinner on Tuesday evening must
be purchased separately.
REGISTRATION WILL NOT BE PROCESSED WITHOUT PAYMENT.
Payment may be made with check, money order, purchase order, or credit
card (MasterCard/VISA/American Express). Checks must be drawn on a U.S.
bank and payable in U.S. dollars. Refunds (less a $25 processing fee)
will be granted only for cancellations received by Monday, 29
March.
Public-Private Partnership Forum Dinner (Tues.)
On Tuesday evening, a Forum reception (to start at 6:10pm) and dinner
(to be served at 7:00pm) will be held at the nearby Doubletree Hotel
(1515 Rhode Island Drive NW). Tickets to the dinner ($30) may be
purchased in advance with registration or on-site until 1:00pm Tues.
