The 23rd Conference on Weather Analysis and Forecasting (WAF)/19th Conference on Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP), jointly sponsored for the first time by the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association, and organized by the AMS Committee on Weather Analysis and Forecasting, will be held 1–5 June 2009 in Omaha, Nebraska

ACCOMMODATIONS
All meeting sessions for the conferences will be held at The Doubletree Hotel and Executive Meeting Center-Omaha Downtown, 1616 Dodge Street, Omaha, NE 68102. A block of rooms has been reserved at the hotel for meeting attendees at a special rate of: $119.00 single/double for non-government employees. The current government rate is available for government employees. Room rates are quoted exclusive of local taxes. There will be complimentary wired Internet in the guest rooms.

To receive these special rates, attendees must request a room under the American Meteorological Society room block. Reservations must be made prior to Monday, May 11, 2009 and be accompanied by a one night deposit. Reservations made after that date are on a space available basis. Subject to room availability, these special rates will be available for the nights of 5/30/09-6/05/09. We urge you to make reservations early since space is limited. Check-in time is 3:00 PM, check-out time is 12:00 Noon. All guests arriving before 3:00 PM will be accommodated as rooms become available. Guest Services Department can arrange to check baggage for those arriving early when rooms are unavailable and for guests attending functions on departure day.

From the West: I-80 East through Omaha to I-480 East. Take I-480 East to the 14th Street Exit. Continue straight on 14th Street to Dodge Street. Turn Right on Dodge street and go to 16th Street. From the North: I-29 to I-480 West to Omaha. Take Exit 3 for 14th Street. Turn left onto 14th Street. Continue straight on 14th Street to Dodge Street. Turn right on Dodge Street to 16th Street. GUEST PARKING: Attached and adjacent to the Hotel are two enclosed and lighted parking garages with a 6’5" height restriction providing easy access from your automobile to our Hotel. A current overnight fee of $7.00 is available to all registered hotel guests, on a space available basis, in any of our designated spaces. We are happy to offer complimentary parking for guests and attendees in the Central City Parking garage across the street from the hotel.
