The Tuesday evening International Welcome Reception issponsored by the City of Stockholm and the Monday evening Welcome Reception is sponsored by the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (www.smhi.se). The Wednesday evening Symposium Banquet is also sponsored in full by Stockholm University, more precisely the International Meteorological Institute (www.misu.su.se/imi_frame.html) and the Bert Bolin Centre for Climate Research (www.suclim.su.se). The symposium will be held 9-13 June 2008 at Stockholm University in Stockholm, Sweden.

Sweden Entry Requirements
A passport is required for all visitors outside of Sweden. Citizens from Africa, Asia, and some Eastern European countries are also required to obtain a visa in advance.

Registration
All attendees (including invited speakers) must register and pay
associated fees to attend this meeting. There is a pre-registration

Ground Transportation
A 1-week T-bana (subway) pass will be provided to you at the registration desk as part of your registration package. This card will provide you with free public transportation throughout Stockholm for the 5 symposium days and will be needed to get to the Tuesday reception and banquet on Wednesday evening. Please just purchase a single-trip ticket to the university to take full advantage of your T-bana card. Welcome Reception at Stockholm University’s Aula Magna – Monday, 9 June 5:00-7:00 p.m.
A Welcome Reception, sponsored by the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (www.smhi.se), will be held on Monday evening at the close of sessions. A light selection of Swedish appetizers will be passed and a cash bar will be available for symposium attendees and their guests.

The 18th Symposium on Boundary Layers and Turbulence Banquet is sponsored by Stockholm University, more precisely the International Meteorological Institute (www.misu.su.se/imi_frame.html) and the Bert Bolin Centre for Climate Research (www.suclim.su.se).
A traditional Swedish dinner will be held at ‘Solliden’, a restaurant within Skansen, the world’s largest open-air museum and zoological park. Symposium attendees will have free access to explore the area and learn about Sweden’s culture and history at their leisure prior to and after the banquet. Tickets for entry will be received with registration.
Reception at Stockholm City Hall – Tuesday, 10 June 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Symposium attendees have been invited to a special welcome reception at Stockholm City Hall (location of the Nobel Prize presentation) to be held on Tuesday, 10 June 2008 from 6:00-8:00pm. This event is hosted and sponsored by the City of Stockholm as a welcome event for international delegates to the city and will include attendees from other international events taking place in Stockholm for the week. The reception will include an open bar and standing buffet stations. Professional dress is requested for this event. Please also wear your name badge to identify our group, and bring your invitation letter (received with your registration package) to be permitted entry.
Lunch During the Symposium
Attendees will be on their own for lunch. A map of campus lunch locations will be made available on-site.
Internet Access at the Symposium
The Aula Magna conference center has complimentary wireless access throughout. E-mail stations will also be made available near the registration desk for symposium attendees. An access card must be obtained from the registration desk to log-in to the internet.
