and environmental scientists by underwriting a portion of the costs of the Student Conference.  Approximately
300 students participated in this program at a recent Annual Meeting.  The Student Luncheon features pre-
sentations  by  key  government  or  industry  leaders.  A  Career  Fair,  held  in  conjunction  with  the  Student
Welcome Dinner, allows the students to talk with representatives from exhibiting corporations, government
agencies, and colleges/universities about future career and educational opportunities. Student program par-
ticipation in the conference and career fair is partially underwritten by contributions made by the members of
AMS to the AMS 21st Century Campaign. To assist the students in attending this worthwhile conference,
AMS does not charge a registration fee. WELCOME RECEPTION HONORING NEWLY ELECTED FELLOWS Exclusive sponsorship $5,000 This event serves two purposes.  First, it honors the recently elected fellows of the Society, and second, it
serves to kick-off the Annual Meeting. It is co-located with the opening poster session and the opening of the
AMS Resource Center.  Approximately 750 people attend this event.  Sponsorship funds are used to provide
