AMS 85th Annual Meeting
CONFERENCE
REGISTRATION INFORMATION AND RATES
Everyone attending the 85th AMS Annual Meeting must register and wear a badge.
Registration will be accepted online until
11 January 2005. Registration will be accepted at AMS by mail, fax, or online but we strongly encourage online registration since it provides immediate confirmation. Registration is not accepted by phone.

registrations will
be accepted through Tuesday, 11 January 2005).
Paper registrations will be accepted at AMS Headquarters until 24 December 2004 for those who fax or mail a registration form.
Early registration rates are valid until 1 December 2004.
Payment for registration: purchase order, or credit
card number (MasterCard/VISA/American Express). When paying by credit
card, indicate the type of card, account number, expiration date, and
mailing address.
Refunds (less a $25 processing fee) will be granted only for cancellations
received before 6 January 2005. Registrants may choose the Full-Week Registration Package or the One-Day Registration Package. The Full-Week package includes admission to all conferences, exhibits, coffee breaks, general receptions, one Annual Meeting banquet ticket, and one Annual Meeting CD-ROM preprint. The One-Day package includes admission to all of the above for one calendar day with the exception of the Annual Meeting banquet.

Fourth AMS Student Conference and Career Fair
There is no fee for attending the conference but attendees must preregister, since there will be no on-site registration. Please note registration includes admittance to the Student Conference only. Attendees must register separately for the 85th AMS Annual Meeting. The registration form for this conference is included in this issue of BAMS. Registration forms must be received by 24 December.

The AMS Attendee Registration Desk will open for short course registration on Sunday, 9 January, 7:30–9:00 A.M. Annual Meeting registration will be on Sunday, 9 January, 9:00 A.M.–6:00 P.M.; Monday, 10 January, through Wednesday, 12 January, 7:30 A.M.–5:00 P.M.; and Thursday, 13 January, 7:30 A.M.–3:00 P.M. The AMS Exhibitor Check-In Desk will be open on Friday, 7 January through Sunday, 9 January, 7:30 A.M.–4:30 P.M.; Monday, 10 January, 7:30 A.M.–7:00 P.M.; Tuesday, 11 January, 7:30 A.M.–5:30 P.M.; Wednesday, 12 January, 7:30 A.M.–6:30 P.M.; Thursday, 13 January, 7:30 A.M.–4:00 P.M.; and Friday, 14 January, 7:30 A.M.–12:00 P.M.
Press Registration
The AMS will operate a press room, Monday, 10 January through Thursday, 13 January. All press representatives must register either online or in the press room at the meeting.
Press registration includes a press badge that allows access to all conferences, special programs, and the exhibits. Eligibility for press registration is limited to the working press and freelance science writers with appropriate identification, and public information officers of scientific societies, educational institutions, and government agencies. A banquet ticket is not included but may be purchased for $45. The press room is equipped with PCs, a fax machine, and telephones. The San Diego Convention Center provides wireless access for approximately $25 per day.
