Manuscript Upload
Use this system to submit manuscripts to BAMS as well as the AMS journals. You will be guided through the process step-by-step.
Important information is contained in the links below. Please review them as needed before you begin the submission process.
Changes In Billing And Reprint Policies: For papers accepted in 2009 and beyond, billing will be done at the time the electronic proof is delivered to the author. Moving the billing process up may help some authors with expiring grants take advantage of funding windows. In addition, all corresponding authors of fully paid papers will receive downloadable PDFs of their articles at the time their final papers are posted online in lieu of the 50 paper reprints such authors had been receiving. The only restriction in distribution of these PDFs is that they not be placed on institutional servers. LaTex and TeX users: an AMS template is now available. Please click on the information link below for details.
Word users: Because of changes Microsoft has made in its recent Word release that are incompatible with our internal workflow, AMS cannot at present accept any files in the new .docx format produced through Microsoft Word 2007, either for initial submission or for revision. Users of this release of Word should convert these files to a format compatible with Word 2003, or use the AMS manuscript template before submitting their manuscript.
