Registrants may choose the Full-Week Registration Package or the One-Day Registration
Package. The Full-Week package includes admission to all conferences, coffee breaks, poster
receptions, and the Wednesday’s night Outdoor Barbeque Buffet. The One-Day package
includes admission to the above for one calendar day. If attending Wednesday Only a BBQ
ticket will be included as well.

On-site registration
The AMS registration desk at The Resort at Squaw Creek will be
open for registration on Sunday, 29 August from 5:00-7:00 p.m., and Monday-Friday during
the hours of the conference.
We urge you to pre-register. If you do not have Web access, please contact the AMS Meetings Department 617-227-2426, ext. 226 or 227 for a registration form. Completed forms must be faxed or mailed to AMS. We do not accept registration over the phone.
OUTDOOR BARBEQUE BUFFET
An Outdoor BBQ Buffet is planned for the night of Wednesday, 1 September from 7–9P.M.
located at the Sun & Spa Deck. This is included in with your registration. Extra Tickets may
be purchased for $35.00. Tickets will be sold until 20 August.
STUDENTS
Award certificates and cash prizes will be given for the best student oral and poster presentations at the conference. Multiple travel grants and travel awards are also available. See the Student Prizes and Travel Assistance Information page for more information.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
The program has been arranged to allow some free time on the afternoon of Wednesday,
1September. Lake Tahoe is a beautiful are and there is a lot to do. The hotel offers many
activities on-site (please see web-site for list and pricing) and there is much to do off-site as
well. Below are some links that you might find helpful with planning your afternoon off.
Please be sure to make reservation if needed and check on pricing. None of these activities
have been organized by AMS.
GETTING THERE
Car Rental: Enterprise is the official rental car agency for this meeting and special rates are
available. Advance reservations may be made on-line at Enterprise.com. Select “Corporate
Account” then “Make a reservation”. Then you simply enter this account # 10AT034 and the
first three letters of the account name (AME) or by calling Enterprise at 1-800-593-0505.
When making a reservation, please mention the AMS Corporate account number.

From Reno/Tahoe International Airport:
North on HWY 395
West on I-80 (Reno/Sacramento exit)
South on HWY 89 (toward Squaw Valley and Tahoe City) for 8 miles

From San Francisco and Sacramento:
East on I-80 (toward Reno) to Truckee, CA

From Incline Village, NV:

Shuttle: The Resort at Squaw Creek offers Shuttle transportation for their guests. The AMS
special rate is $50.00 round trip transfer between The Resort at Squaw Creek and Reno/
Tahoe International Airport. This shuttle service is based on reservation ONLY. To make
reservations call 530-583-6300 x16. Identify yourself with the American Meteorological
Society group and make your reservation.
