89th Annual Meeting Registration and Rates

Registration Policy

Everyone attending the 89th AMS Annual Meeting must register and wear a badge. Early registration rates are valid through Monday, 1 December 2008. Registrations forms faxed or mailed to AMS Headquarters will be accepted at the higher rate until Monday, 15 December 2008. Online registrations will be accepted through Tuesday, 12 January 2009. Preregistration forms must be accompanied by one of the following forms of payment: check (personal/business/traveler's), money order, purchase order, or credit card number (MasterCard/VISA/American Express). Foreign checks must be drawn on a U.S. bank and made payable in U.S. dollars. Confirmation of registration will be sent once the form is processed. Refunds (less a $25 processing fee) will be granted only for cancellations received before Friday, 30 December 2008.

The Full-Week package includes admission to all conferences, exhibits, coffee breaks, general receptions, and one Annual Meeting banquet ticket. The One-Day package includes admission to all of the above for one calendar day with the exception of the Annual Meeting banquet.

Special Conference Registration

Eighth AMS Student Conference and Career Fair: Weathering Your Career--Now and in the Future
This conference is open to all junior and senior undergraduate students and all graduate students; AMS membership is required. There is a flat fee of $25 for attending the conference and attendees must preregister, since there will be no on-site registration. The registration fee includes two lunches and an evening reception. Please note that registration includes admittance to the Student Conference only. Attendees must register separately for the 89th AMS Annual Meeting. Registration may be done online or by fax or mail, and registration forms must have been received by 31 December 2008.
Please note, this conference is open to all junior and senior undergraduate students and all graduate students—AMS membership required.

Seventh AMS Users Forum
All attendees for the Seventh Users Forum must register and wear a badge. There is a flat registration rate of $50 to attend the Users Forum. However, registration for the Users Forum is included in the 89th Annual Meeting Registration. Registration for the Users Forum does not include registration for the 89th AMS Annual Meeting but Users Forum registrants may attend the Presidential Forum and access the exhibits.

12th Conference of Atmospheric Science Librarians International
All attendees for the 12th Conference of Atmospheric Science Librarians International (ASLI) must register and wear a badge. This year, ASLI Conference attendees should register in advance through the AMS website or by fax for $50 until 1 December 2008. Registrations received between 2 December 2008 and the conference dates will be $75. After 16 December 2008, you must register at the meeting or online only. Credit cards are now accepted. For those registering on-site, please register at the AMS Annual Meeting registration desk, not in the ASLI conference room as in past years. Registration for the ASLI Conference does not include registration for other 89th AMS Annual Meeting events, but ASLI Conference registrants may access the exhibits.
