ORGANIZERS

The 13th Conference on Cloud Physics, sponsored by the American Meteorological Society and organized by the AMS Committee on Cloud Physics will be held jointly with The 13th Conference on Atmospheric Radiation which is sponsored by the American Meteorological Society and organized by the AMS Committee on Atmospheric Radiation. Both conferences will be held 28 June–2 July 2010 in Portland, Oregon.

ACCOMMODATIONS

All meeting sessions for the conferences will be held at The DoubleTree Hotel Portland-Llyod Center, 1000 NE Multnomah Street, Portland, Oregon 97232. A block of rooms has been reserved at the hotel for meeting attendees at a special rate of: $139.00 single/ $149.00 double for non-government employees. The current government rate of $116.00 single/ $126.00 double is available for government employees with proper ID. Room rates are quoted exclusive of state and local taxes. These special rates will also be honored three days before and after based on availability.

To receive these special rates, attendees must request a room under the American Meteorological Society room block.

Reservations must be made prior to Monday, 24 May 2010, and may be required to provide a credit card for guestroom guarantee. All credit cards used to guarantee will be charged one nights stay if reservation is canelled within 72 hours of arrival or is a no show. We urge you to make reservations early since space is limited. For reservations please call (800) 996-0510.

GETTING THERE

Car Rental: Enterprise is the official rental car agency for this meeting and special rates are available. Advance reservations may be made on-line at Enterprise.com. Select “Corporate Account” then “Make a reservation”. Then you simply enter this account # 10AT034 and the first three letters of the account name (AME) or by calling Enterprise at 1-800-593-0505. When making a reservation, please mention the AMS Corporate account number.

From Portland International Airport (10 miles):
Driving:
1. Head west 0.1 mi
2. Turn left toward NE Airport Way 0.2 mi
3. Slight right toward NE Airport Way (signs for I-205/Freeway/NE 82nd) 0.1 mi
4. Slight left at NE Airport Way 1.7 mi
5. Merge onto I-205 S/Veterans Memorial Hwy via the ramp to I-84/Portland/Salem
3.1 mi
6. Take exit 21B to merge onto I-84 W/US-30 W toward Portland 4.6 mi
7. Take exit 1 for Lloyd Center 0.3 mi
8. Turn right at NE 13th Ave 0.1 mi
9. Turn left at NE Multnomah St 0.1 mi
Parking Overnight guest parking with in-and-out privileges is complimentary and Day
parking is $5.00 per day.

Taxi cost is about $20.

To use the Portland Light Rail:
Starting from (Airport MAX Station)
Board MAX Red Line to City Center & Beaverton TC
Get off at Lloyd Center/NE 11th Ave MAX Station
Walk 0.1 mile northwest to Doubletree - Lloyd Center (1000 NE Multnomah St)
Travel time: 29 minutes (including 5 minutes walking)
